Thank A Farmer
Who doesn’t love a good farmer’s market, or if not an official farmer’s market just stopping along the road to buy some fresh Indiana sweet corn or other fruits and vegetables from a local farmer? Purchasing fresh produce, meat, and ingredients locally not only supports area farmers, but also guarantees that your food has not traveled very far.
National Farmer’s Day is October 12, 2020. According to newsweek.com , farming contributes over $130 billion to the United States economy, and one farm can feed approximately 166 people annually. Family farms or ranches produce 87% of sold agricultural products.
If you or a loved one owns a farm, first of all thank you! Secondly, we at Peck and Wood would like for you to know that we proudly partner with Indiana Farmer’s Mutual Insurance to provide insurance coverage for all types of farms in the state of Indiana.
